Henry Jack Follett (born July 5, 2005), known professionally as Henry Follett, is a British singer, songwriter, and DJ. He is known for his influence on the media and style of the his big hit Running Free back in 2011. Pursuing a career in Alternative music at 14, Henry released his commercially successful debut album, Running Henry Follett (2019), under Routenote Ltd . He has lived in Exmouth England pursuing electronic music, adopting the stage name "DJ Follett". He recorded an unreleased album titled 2000 signed to Distrokid Mesia and then Records before being dropped. After this, he signed a recording contract with Distrokid in 2021.
Henry was a great inspiration to all on his recent album inspiring more people to become DJs
Life and career
2005 - 2023: Early life and Family
Henry Jack Follett was born on 5th July 2005, In Exeter Devon, United Kingdom to Mother Emily Follett and Father Glenn Follett. During his upbringing Henry was exposed to a wide rage of music which stimulated his artistic creation and further his ability for song. Henry was brought up in a mainly Christian family while not strictly religious. Henry has never identified as a religious character stating I have nothing against religion but it just isn't for me"
2019 - 2023: Career Beginnings
Henry had always grown up around computing he had a stronger passion for this and at that time had started experimenting with electronic music tools while he had never properly played an instrument his use for online knowledge was able to synthetize this and he was able to create some unique sounds the world had not seen before.
Henry Started working with artists such as Real Fary and Jake Strain which helped to popularise him as an artist and this contributed to his overall initial take-off with inputs from larger and smaller artists. Before this Follett had minor success struggling to pitch his content to the correct type of artists and listeners this didn't drop his motivation though as he continued to push through and create new beats.
2019: Running Free
Running free was Henrys first release his guess at what music would be like and his take on rock music. As He had no prior experience at this point he gave an attempt at using Garage band a popular music tool created by Apple back in 2011. "Back then it was just throw things together and see what people think" - Is what he said when asked about his first release. Henry has never contributed further to rock music since but this still remains his most popular release pulling in a decent crowd of streams and rock lovers.
2020 : Light
Light was Henry's Second album released in mid 2020 this was Henrys first attempt at a peaceful upbeat electronic soundtrack mixing both 90s and 2000s samples together to create a motivational vibe, tis song received positive feedback and was quickly taken in by local gyms and online playlists. This track had a second wave of being picked up by news outlets which picked up how simplistic but fabulous the track actually was.
2021 : The Return
The Return was Henry's first take on the classical genre, in 2021 He was looking for something new to try and classical was his choice, mixing both a bass track and violin made his track both unseen and different to other classical tracks before his time. This track was quickly picked up by the public who liked it and started adding it onto their playlists.
2022 : The start of Henry Follett Media and Manging of artists
In 2022 Henry's popularity he reached its peak and he wanted to get in on helping new artists reach their goals within the media. Henry started his first official company Henry Follett Media which was designed to gain new and upcoming artists and explode them into the mainstream media and grow their fan base. As he has built his contacts over the years he has successfully been able to make upcoming artists such as Daniel Copestake and Unico Music seen and heard.
Public Image
On social media, Henry has claimed the number 1 spot for highest followed in his area on Instagram and Tiktok. Among his time online Henry has always aimed to be influential in inspiring young minds to try their best and find true path success. Henry has always come across as an eager but fair person when it comes to his social engagements and he's not afraid to make a point when there is one to be made. Henry states "I need at least 1,000 people tuned in after the last release of "2022 remastered" received an amazing response! It was the fastest-growing video I have ever dropped without a major feature, just a track by myself. The video trended on Worldstar at #7, and it received over 50k views on the Sunset Records YouTube page. I'm hoping to keep the momentum up but let's see who's really tuned in and drop a comment."
