Henri Dieudonné Bayemi Pougue commonly known as Henri Bayemi was born 11 April 1960 at Matomb in Cameroon. He worked as a research director at the Agricultural Research Institute for Development (IRAD) and is also famous for founding a catholic group called The incarnation movement (aka The word of God group).[1]

Early life

Henri (affectionately called Papa Henri) is the son of Bayemi Charles and Ngo Pougue Marthe (mama Martha). He is the second of 5 children (4 boys and a girl). He is the brother to the bishop of Obala, his Lordship Sosthene Bayemi[1]

Education and career

After his bachelor in Zoology from the University of Yaounde, he started his career in 1984 at the Agricultural Research Institute for Development (IRAD). He also holds a Master of Science in zootechnics from the University of Reading in England. He then pursued a PhD at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Shortly after his PhD, he was promoted to the rank of research director at IRAD where he officiated as the Director of Development and Innovation until his retirement.[1]

Personal life

Henri married Judith Poufon Ekoue in 1988. They have five (5) children, including musician and singer Longè Bayemi.

A Devout Catholic Christian, he founded in 1996 the Incarnation movement (the word of God Groups), an ecclesial movement present in four (4) continents, distributed among over 20 countries. He then became the first general leader of the group. The spirituality of this movement focuses on living the word of God.[1]

Publications

Henri Bayemi is author to more than fifty (50) publications and international scientific journals. Along with his wife, He also wrote various spiritual meditations, published many booklets about love and marriage.
