Hemawas is a small village of 1577 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hemawas depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 109.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Hemawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Hemawas's pin code is 344001[4], and village code is 02165100. The area of Hemawas is segregated as 282 hectares irrigated area, 127 hectares unirrigated, the 63.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 90 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Hemawas is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1291 and has total administration over 212 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
