Heidi von Palleske is a Canadian Actress and writer born November 9th, 1959.
Best known for her break-out role in David Cronenberg's iconoclastic film, DEAD RINGERS, opposite Jeremy Irons (1988) Heidi went on to star in such films as Ramona, The Deadly Wake, The Cusp, Take the Lead, and Bordello. She is known for her off-kilter roles, often in edgy or slightly darker films.
In 2017 Heidi started a publishing company, Smart House Books, and published 9 novels, including her own, They Don't Run Red Trains Anymore, which had won the HR Percy Award for best novel manuscript in Eastern Canada.
Her latest novel, Two White Queens and the One-Eyed Jack, was published by Dundurn Press in 2021. It was endorsed by John Irving, Jeremy Irons, and Lauren B Davis.
