Héctor Izquierdo Triana (Los Llanos de Aridane, La Palma Island, 1974) is Professor at IE Business School [1], Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICAI-ICADE [2] and University of Deusto. Deputy Director of the School of Economic Intelligence of the Autonomous University of Madrid [3]. Director of the Observatory of Economic and Competitive Intelligence of Mesías-Intelligence Marca España [4]. He is PhD in CCEE and Business from the Pontifical University of Comillas ICAI-ICADE [5], Lawyer, Executive MBA from IE business school graduating as number 1 of promotion [6], Lieutenant Second Class Spanish Army Sefocuma assigned to the Intelligence S-2 PLMM RIL- 49 and graduated in Law, Economic and Business Sciences, ICADE E-3.
He is Director of the "Manual of Economic and Competitive Intelligence" (Tirant lo Blanch 2018) [7], as well as Co-author of other books such as "Fundamental Concepts of Intelligence" (Tirant lo Blanch 2016) or "En Clave de Sol. Studies on 15-M and citizen movements" (Lapsus Calami, 2014). He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic & Business Intelligence [8]. He has written in El País [9], El Economista [10] Financial Times where he was "Professor of the Week" worldwide in 2013 [11], Forbes [12], The International Journal of Intelligence, Security, and Public Affairs [13], Gesi Global Strategy [14], Army Magazine [15], Unisci [16], among other media. Director of multinational companies in sectors such as energy, oil & gas and rail transport[17]: in companies as Unión Fenosa Gas, Renfe or Votorantim Cimentos (EMEA). In 2019 he was presented to the elections to the Spanish Parliament of Deputies as an independent on the PSOE lists representing the Island of La Palma [18] where the PSOE was the list most voted with about 30% of the votes [19]. Since 2020, he is the Chairman & CEO of the Spanish Public Company for Real Estate Management of Heritage (SEGIPSA[20]) in the Ministry of Finance of Spain.[21]
