Hassan Ezzeldine is a Lebanese businessman. Since the beginning of 2018, he is a Chairman of Gray Mackenzie Retail Lebanon, which includes; Spinneys Hypermarket, Happy Discount Store, Grab'N Go Convenience Store.[1] He has been an active member of the Children’s Cancer Center in Lebanon since 2019.[2]
Early Life & Education
Hassan Ezzeldine was born in Tripoli on 15 January 1980. He attended the Continental School of Jeddah for his entire elementary and high school education. Hassan Ezzeldine later graduated from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2004.
Career
Since the beginning of Hassan Ezzeldine’s endeavor at Gray Mackenzie, he invested in the company’s growth and development by opening more branches and creating a range of job opportunities across Lebanon.[3] Despite the challenges faced in Lebanon throughout 2019 and 2020, he focused on providing solutions to sustain the business throughout the economic instability.[4] Staying true to his original mission, Hassan Ezzeldine focused on alternative methods to continuously enable shoppers to attain their needs by maintaining reasonable prices across the different retail stores under Gray Mackenzie.[5] He followed an internal strategy that enabled the group to withstand despite the challenges that affected the supermarket sector as whole and the circulars related to the liquidity and cards payments[6].
Other Roles
For many years, Hassan Ezzeldine was the Director of Operations and Managing Partner at Huta Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He returned to Beirut, Lebanon in 2015 as an investor for several different projects.
