Harrison Barron is an American entrepreneur, podcaster, and marketing consultant, best known as the founder and CEO of Growth Generators, a digital marketing and consulting firm that supports Managed Service Providers (MSPs). He is also known for creating the MSP Heroes Podcast and Brutally Honest Podcast, and for his YouTube content targeting IT and MSP professionals.
Early life and education
Barron grew up in Bayport, Long Island, New York, and graduated from Bayport-Blue Point High School in 2010. During high school, he attended culinary arts training at Eastern Suffolk BOCES in Oakdale. Initially planning to pursue a career as a chef, Barron later shifted his focus to technology.
He earned an associate degree in liberal arts from Suffolk County Community College in 2013 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Farmingdale State College.[1]
Barron is an Eagle Scout, having earned the rank just before his 18th birthday as a member of Troop 329 in Bayport.
Career
After college, Barron worked in the managed service provider (MSP) industry, holding positions at Nerds That Care and NST, which later merged into SourcePass. In 2018, he founded Baron Media Group, which rebranded in 2021 as Growth Generators, to focus on marketing, sales, and operational strategies for MSPs.[2] Growth Generators has become a notable marketing agency serving the MSP sector.[3]
Media presence
Barron launched the Brutally Honest Podcast in 2015, producing over 130 episodes focused on entrepreneurship and business.[4] He later created the MSP Heroes Podcast, which discusses topics related to the MSP industry and is available on major podcast platforms.[5]
He also operates YouTube channels including Growth Generators and The Millennial Entrepreneur – Harrison Barron.[6][7] Barron manages a Discord community focused on MSP sales, marketing, and ownership.

Barron has been a speaker at industry events such as PAX8 and ScaleCon.[8][9]
Volunteer service and personal life
Barron volunteered for approximately ten years (2011–2021) at the Bayport Fire Department in New York, achieving the ranks of Rescue Squad Lieutenant and Captain. He received the Firefighter of the Year award in 2015 for life-saving efforts during a snowstorm.[10]
In 2021, Barron and his family were displaced by a house fire, resulting in a nine-month residence in an RV.
