Harmatiya is a small village of 110 hectares in Dungarpur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Harmatiya depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Harmatiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Harmatiya's pin code is 314028[4], and village code is 03315300. The area of Harmatiya is segregated as 8 hectares irrigated area, 34 hectares unirrigated, the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50 hectare area not available for cultivation.
