Hapat is a small village of 1296 hectares in Sojat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hapat depends on Sojat, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Hapat is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Hapat's pin code is 306104[4], and village code is 02412800. The area of Hapat is segregated as 109.11 hectares irrigated area, 968.15 hectares unirrigated, the 141.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 78 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat and Pali to sell ghee and make their living.
