Hansalsar is a small village of 1206 hectares in Udaipurwati Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hansalsar depends on Jhunjhunu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 146.80% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Hansalsar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Hansalsar's pin code is 333021[4], and village code is 00746200. The area of Hansalsar is segregated as 252.5 hectares irrigated area, 803 hectares unirrigated, the 101.7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 48.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhunjhunu to sell ghee and make their living.
