Hans Pihl (1951–2020) began his career at Peters & Co in 1974, as a 23-year-old newly graduated economist from Lund School of Economics and Management. He became a partner early on and later the office manager in the Malmö office following the merger with Arthur Andersen in 1989.
Hans Pihl served as CEO of Arthur Andersen from 1998 to 2002, and of Deloitte from 2002 to 2008. He was one of the key architects behind the merger between Arthur Andersen and Deloitte in 2002, thereby laying the foundation for today's Deloitte.
After his active career at Deloitte, Hans was involved as a board member in numerous companies. Among other roles, he served on the board of Connect Sweden and was the consul for Mexico, succeeding his mentor Reidar Peters in both capacities.
