Hanotiya is a small village of 156 hectares in Shahbad Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hanotiya depends on Antah, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Hanotiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Hanotiya's pin code is 325216[4], and village code is 03870200. The area of Hanotiya is segregated as 102.13 hectares irrigated area, 14.14 hectares unirrigated, the 23.68 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 16.25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Antah and Baran to sell ghee and make their living.
