Hana Patel FRCGP (born 19 December 1978, London) is a British general practitioner, media doctor and GP Medico-Legal Expert Witness. She practices family medicine and is also a mental health and life coach.

Career

Patel qualified as a medical doctor in July 2005 from University College London with a MBBS degree, having graduated from the Kings College London with a degree in molecular genetics in 2000, and in 2022 was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioner by her peers.

Patel has worked as a GP principal in West Sussex, has an interest in medical education, working as an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Digital and Lifelong Learning at the University of Kent, and now works as a sessional general practitioner with a specialist interest in the medicolegal field, and is instructed to provide evidence as a GP Medico-legal Expert. Hana’s specialist interest include women’s health, mental health, sexual health and sleep.

Patel also works as a media general practitioner, publishing articles for the Daily Mail, Yahoo News, The Times, The Guardian[1], and medical journals such as the RCGP GP journal InnovAiT. Hana has also had her own 'Talk to the Doctor' show on BBC Radio West Sussex.[2]

Personal life

Patel was educated in Croydon at The Old Palace School of John Whitgift, and continues to live in the area with her family.
