Hamza Turulja
Hamza Turulja (born August 9, 2001.[1]) in Sarajevo, is a Bosnian karate athlete competing in the category under 75 kilograms. [1] In 2019. he won a silver medal in the Karate World Championships under 21 years held in Santiago, Chile. [2] In 2022. he won a bronze medal in the 2022 Mediterranean Games - Men's 75 kg held in Oran, Algeria.
Career
After winning only medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Karate Championship for cadets, juniors and U21 in 2019, Hamza was named as the best young athlete in Bosnia and Herzegovina. [3]
In May 2022. he lost his bronze medal match in the men's 75 kg event at the 2022 European Karate Championships held in Gaziantep. In September 2022. he won a silver medal at the FISU World University Games in combat sports. [4] In November 2022. he won gold in Karate1 Series A held in Jakarta, Indonesia. [5] Also, he is a multiple national and Balkans champion.
