Hamid Nangialay Kabiri (born 1991) is an Afghan diplomat and politician, currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Bonn, Germany. Hamid Nangialay Kabiri was born in 1991 in Kabul, Afghanistan. He pursued his early education in Kabul amidst the socio-political challenges that defined Afghanistan during the 1990s and early 2000s. Kabiri developed an early interest in technology, which led him to enroll at Kabul University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2013. Kabiri began his career in 2014 at Afghanistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)[2]. His early roles involved working on technology-driven projects aimed at improving the ministry’s operational efficiency. In this role, Kabiri was responsible for overseeing the digital transformation initiatives within the ministry.
During his tenure at the MFA, Kabiri was involved in the development and implementation of several key digital initiatives. Among these was the Task Management system, designed to enhance the internal coordination within the ministry, and the Online Contact List Hos DB, a secure database for managing diplomatic communications. In March 2019, Kabiri was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the Afghan Consulate in Bonn, Germany.
