Hakan Teoman Yanar[1] (born 1971 in Denizli), Professor of General Surgery.
Education
Graduated from Istanbul University, School of Medicine[2] in 1996 and fulfilled General Surgery residency at Istanbul University, School of Medicine, Department of Surgery in 2001.
Medical Education
He fulfilled General Surgery residency at Istanbul University, School of Medicine, Department of Surgery in 2001. He worked at University of Southern California Medical Center, Department of General Surgery of Medicine between 2006 and 2007. He was appointed Professor of Surgery at Istanbul University, School of Medicine in 2014. He was trained for advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery and laser surgery. His main fields are: General Surgery, colorectal surgery, proctology (Hemorrhoids, pilonidal disease, anal fissur, anal fistula, polyps of colon and rectum) , hernia repair (Inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, incisional hernia, sportsmen’s hernia), anal fissure surgery and cancer surgery.
