Gursel is a small village of 120 hectares in Fatehpur Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gursel depends on Fatehpur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gursel's pin code is 225305[4], and village code is 05703300. The area of Gursel is segregated as 99 hectares irrigated area, 20 hectares unirrigated area. the 27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 34 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gursel has Eight public telephones. Gursel has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Gursel is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1623 and has total administration over 277 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Fatehpur (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
