Gurja is a small village of 517 hectares in Mandrail Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gurja depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gurja is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gurja's pin code is 322251[4], and village code is 01239400. The area of Gurja is segregated as 35.44 hectares unirrigated, the 29.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 34.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.
