Gurara is a small village of 1676 hectares in Sri Madhopur Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gurara depends on Khandela, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 93.09% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gurara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gurara's pin code is 332721[4], and village code is 01724600. The area of Gurara is segregated as 93.09 hectares irrigated area, 429.91 hectares unirrigated, the 218.89 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 174.45 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gurara is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4135 and has total administration over 662 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Khandela and Sikar to sell ghee and make their living.
