Guilherme Sanches Leão (born May 26, 1991) is an Brazilian model and DJ.
Biography
Leão was born in São Paulo. He is the son of a sales representative and a housewife.
As a teenager, his hobby was producing electro house music.[1]
Career
In 2009, Leão began modelling at the age of eighteen and was featured on Colírios blog of the notorious teen magazine Capricho.[1] At the end of the following year, he moved to Shanghai, China, where had several jobs over the course of a year. He was also a model for the online catalog of the fashion label Dafiti.
In August 2012, he became a security guard at Companhia do Metropolitano de São Paulo after being approved in a public tendering that he had done in 2010. In March 2014, became an internet meme after two pictures of him went viral on Tumblr[2], social networking services (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and the instant messaging app WhatsApp, earned the nickname of Segurança Gato do Metrô (Sexiest Subway Guard). This year, the model achieved celebrity fame in the country after appearing in various media.[3][4] The model's phenomenal beauty also resonated internationally.[5][6][7][8][9]
In August 2014, Leão was invited to star in the music video "Eu sou a diva que você quer copiar" of Valesca Popozuda.[10]
In 2017, he was hired by Closer Models agency.[11] Previously, it was managed by Oca Models.[12]
In 2019, has done international advertising campaign for the line Full Speed Supersonic, by Avon Products.[13]
On September 17, 2019, was the second name confirmed by RecordTV as one of the sixteen celebrities contestants on the eleventh season of A Fazenda which debuted later that day.[14] After 59 episodes, Leão was the eighth competitor to leave the show.[15]
In 2021, he was one of the jurors of the talent show Canta Comigo, shown on Netflix Brasil and RecordTV.[16]
