Guilender Pierre (born September 4, 1989), known professionally as GreekDaGod, GalaxyGreek, and SuperSavage, is an American rapper, songwriter, and music producer. He is the founder of KingKillers Ent., a record label and its imprint Creating Music Forever (CMF), a community known for fostering an inclusive music culture and aiming to bring together diverse artists. GreekDaGod sports a concurrent career in producing and songwriting records mainly for artists via CMF, some of which include Mary Deep, Shorty Black, and Joanna Quintin.[1]

GreekDaGod has released three albums and two EP’s with multiple singles till now, gaining recognition for his eclectic style. He rose to prominence in 2013 with the release of Shine and It Was All A Dream, the first two singles that became instant hits in the area. Some of his other popular releases include All I Hear Is Haters, Coke & Hennessy, The ComeBack, Do My Thing and Let Me Know.[2]

Outside of music, he is also an avid philanthropist working to raise awareness about lupus and is closely associated with the Lupus Foundation of America and is often seen participating in charity events and donating money for the cause.[3]

Early life and education

GreekDaGod was born September 4, 1989, in Kings County, New York, to Aliete Leandre, from Haiti , and Guito Pierre, also from Haiti, who both found their way to New York City. He grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in a financially weak household. His mother worked several odd jobs, such as a seamstress but eventually became a stay-at-home mother. GreekDaGod succumbed to an artistic atmosphere, his mother and father both were members of a choir, and his father was also a trumpet player.

GreekDaGod moved to Philadelphia when he was in middle school where he studied at Morrison Middle School. It was during this time that GreekDaGod’s inclination towards arts flourished, which resulted in his teacher encouraging him to attend a school for creative and performing arts (CAPA) to expand his creativity. He then enrolled in Lincoln High School, where he met his best friend, who gave him his first production program, FL Studio, in 2008. GreekDaGod then started producing and writing raps in his basement.

Career

GreekDaGod started his professional career in the music industry in 2013 when he began collaborating with different artists. His first releases were Shine ft. Joanna Quintin and It was all a Dream. Both these songs were produced by iillmind. In the same year, Greek Da God established KingKillers Entertainment, a music label, and signed Joanna Q, First Lady of KK.[4]

Eventually, GreekDaGod started Creating Music Forever (CMF) in 2016, a subsidiary of KingKillers, with the aim to empower the music community. It is located in NYC and LA. CMF, since its inception. has worked with a diverse range of recording artists and producers, and songwriters bringing the music community closer. Some of the members of CMF include Mary Deep, Shorty Black, and Joanna Quintin.[5]

During this time, GreekDaGod also began writing songs specifically emphasizing female vocalists and also collaborated with Grammy-winning producers and songwriters learning various musical styles like pop, trap, afrobeat, and a personalized style of R&B.[6]

By the end of 2018, GreekDaGod expanded his circle of collaborations and increased his reach. He also started producing and did recordings with several underground artists. During this time, he also released several collaborative projects on SoundCloud and other music streaming platforms. The most notable works that were launched in this time period were Paradise After the Storm and Heartbreak Hotel. He also created a song called ‘’Wine, whose official video will be out by 2022.[7]

Personal life

GreekDaGod’s mother passed away due to kidney failure caused by lupus. After the loss, he has been actively associated with the Lupus Foundation of America and working to bring awareness about the disease and donating for the cause.
