Graphic art is a fine art genre that encompasses a diverse variety of visual aesthetic expressions that are generally two-dimensional, that is, generated on a flat surface. However, it is sometimes understood to refer specifically to printmaking processes such as line engraving, aquatint (drypoint), etching (mezzotint), monotype (monochrome), lithography (lithography), and screen printing (screen printing is a type of printing that uses a pattern of lines and dots to create a pattern of dots) (silk-screen, serigraphy). Calligraphy, photography, painting, typography, computer graphics, and bindery are all examples of graphic art in addition to the traditional forms. It also includes drawn plans and layouts for interior and architectural designs, as well as architectural drawings.
