A non-profit organisation in Canada, Grand Problems Canada (GCC), employs a strategy based on the Grand Challenges initiative to finance solutions to major health and development challenges in the developing world. Its goal is to save and enhance lives in low- and lower-middle-income nations via the use of "integrated innovation," which integrates scientific, economic, and social elements.

Over 1,000 initiatives in more than 80 countries have been funded by the organisation, which has had a positive effect on 1.3 million lives. According to conservative statistical estimates, the organization's efforts will save up to 1.6 million lives and enhance the lives of up to 42 million people worldwide by 2030.

It is mainly sponsored by the Government of Canada, and it is hosted by the University Health Network in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the MaRS Discovery District, in the MaRS Discovery District.
