Gowa Kalan is a small village of 2813 hectares in Nagaur Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gowa Kalan depends on Mundwa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gowa Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Gowa Kalan's pin code is 341028[4], and village code is 01814700. The area of Gowa Kalan is segregated as 201.87 hectares irrigated area, 2437.72 hectares unirrigated, the 162.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10.93 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mundwa and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
