Govindsar is a small village of 1541 hectares in Kolayat Tehsil in Bikaner district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Govindsar depends on BIKANER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Govindsar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Govindsar's pin code is 334303[4], and village code is 00536000. The area of Govindsar is segregated as 1222 hectares unirrigated, the 18.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 301 hectare area not available for cultivation.
