Govindpura Basri is a small village of 651 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Govindpura Basri depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 467.26% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chomu and Jaipur to sell carpet making and make their living.
