Govindpura is a small village of 614 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Govindpura depends on Antah, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Govindpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Govindpura's pin code is 325218[4], and village code is 03867900. The area of Govindpura is segregated as 495 hectares irrigated area, 27 hectares unirrigated, the 41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 51.49 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Antah and Baran to sell ghee and make their living.
