Gordhan Pura is a small village of 672 hectares in Chhipabarod Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gordhan Pura depends on Chhipabarod, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 150.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gordhan Pura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gordhan Pura's pin code is 325221[4], and village code is 03965300. The area of Gordhan Pura is segregated as 350 hectares irrigated area, 138.5 hectares unirrigated, the 131.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 52.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.
