Gorakiya is a small village of 581 hectares in Rawatbhata Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gorakiya depends on Singoli (M.P.), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 34.23% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gorakiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gorakiya's pin code is 323304[4], and village code is 03572700. The area of Gorakiya is segregated as 34.23 hectares irrigated area, 13.05 hectares unirrigated, the 48.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 58.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.
