Gopipura is a small village of 78 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gopipura depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 42.26% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Gopipura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gopipura's pin code is 322218[4], and village code is 01251900. The area of Gopipura is segregated as 42.26 hectares irrigated area, 1.43 hectares unirrigated, the 29.16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 5.22 hectare area not available for cultivation.
