Goodr is an independently owned and operated American eyewear brand located in Inglewood, CA. They make inexpensive, active eyewear in a variety of colors and styles. The brand is also known for their funny product names, bright styles, and outlandish activations like their Carl, Georgia campaign.[1]
History
goodr was founded in March 2015 by three high school friends and running enthusiasts from Arvada, CO: Stephen Lease, Keri Blunt, and Ben Abell. The trio wanted to create high-performing running sunglasses that were affordable, stylish, and functional. While the brand began specifically as a “run” brand in 2015, in 2017 goodr pivoted to an active eyewear brand. The brand caters to all athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, in particular, the running, CrossFit, cycling, and golf communities.[2]
In November 2015 goodr founded their RUN goodr community. Followed by BEAST goodr in November of 2018 (aimed at the CrossFit community), BIKE goodr in January 2019, and GOLF goodr in January 2019.

Corporate Culture
goodr makes a strong effort to promote healthy corporate culture. The Culture goodr Podcast releases weekly episodes about the company's culture as well as successes and failures in attempts at fostering community.[5]
goodr has been recognized as a Great Place to Work,[6] as well as been recognized as a Best Place to work by Inc. Magazine.[7]
Products and Partnerships
goodr offers 10 different frame options: the OG, the BFG, the Runway, the Circle G, the Mach G, the VRG, the PHG, and the WRAP G.[8] The brand also offers a snow goggle, the Snow G.[9] The brand is well-known for creating a unique, fun name for each pair of sunglasses launched. Some examples include: Flamingos on a Booze Cruise, Whiskey Shots with Satan, and My Cateyes Are Up Here.[10]
In addition to active eyewear, the brand also currently sells a range of apparel and lifestyle products. All goodr products are designed in-house. At present, goodr is sold in over 2,500 stores in over 20 countries. goodr also has a physical experiential retail store in Venice, CA known as the goodr Cabana where the brand often hosts run and bike groups.[11]
goodr has released several pairs of charity sunglasses in partnership with and benefitting Denver Zoo, 1% for the Planet, The Los Angeles LGBT Center, Wags & Walks, Breaking Silence, and Georgia Aquarium. The brand is also known for outlandish partnerships and naming practices including a partnership with Randy's Donuts,[12][13] and an event to take over the town of Carl, Georgia because it shared a name with the fictional CEO, Carl.[14]
goodr has collaborated with several other large brands, including but not limited to Marvel, Universal, Warner Bros., The Rolling Stones, Reebok, Kellogg's, Dunkin' Donuts, and Saucony.[15]
