Gomat is a small village of 1275 hectares in Khair Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gomat depends on Khair (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Gomat's pin code is 202135[4], and village code is 01301700. The area of Gomat is segregated as 1065.51 hectares irrigated area, 1.56 hectares unirrigated area. the 64.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 143.77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Khair (MB) and Aligarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
