Golara is a small village of 364.2 hectares in Koil Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Golara depends on Vijaigarh (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Golara's pin code is 202170[4], and village code is 01386200. The area of Golara is segregated as 314 hectares irrigated area, the 20 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30 hectare area not available for cultivation.
