Golara is a small village of 422 hectares in Karauli Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Golara depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 29.12% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Golara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Golara's pin code is 322242[4], and village code is 01230700. The area of Golara is segregated as 29.12 hectares irrigated area, 61.58 hectares unirrigated, the 66.52 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 95.51 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Golara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics

Golara is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 502 and has total administration over 78 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 158 (31.47%) males constitute 82 (16.33%) of the population and females 76 (15.14%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
