Golam Subhany Choudhury was an Indian Politician belonging to Indian National Congress.He was the Member of Assam Legislative Assembly from Badarpur Constituency.He was born on 1st January,1929 at a Zamindar Family. He was also a famous Zamindar of East Sylhet Province.Their Estate named is Hasanpur Estate.He has completed his graduation from M.C. College Sylhet. During his tenure he has given a light to the poor families implementing them in various different government jobs based on the education credentials. He has also built the Srigouri Hospital now called Srigouri C.H.C Hospital. He was also a founder of the 1st College of Badarpur named NabinChandra College.He has went to each and every house to collect donations to build this college.He was very close friend of the Former Chief Minister of Assam Hiteshwar Saikia.
He died on 16 June,1999. During his funeral a lakh of people gathered on his Janazah.
