Godsar is a small village of 61 hectares in Azamgarh Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Godsar depends on Azamgarh (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Godsar's pin code is 276131[4], and village code is 08696000. The area of Godsar is segregated as 6.166 hectares irrigated area, 31.584 hectares unirrigated area.

Godsar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
