Godawas is a small village of 354 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Godawas depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Godawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Godawas's pin code is 342606[4], and village code is 01956000. The area of Godawas is segregated as 40.3 hectares irrigated area, 263.66 hectares unirrigated, remaining 49.7 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
