Gina Robinson is an American novelist best known for her romance and romantic suspense fiction, including The Spy Who Left Me and The Billionaire Duke. She also writes cozy mysteries and romantasy novels under the pen names Daisy Robyns and S.R. Jaye. Her books have been published by St. Martin’s Press, Kensington Publishing Corp., and her independent imprint, Three Jays Press LLC.

Robinson’s first novel for St. Martin’s Press, The Spy Who Left Me (2011), was selected as a Barnes & Noble Must Read pick and earned a four-star “HOT” rating from the now-defunct RT Book Reviews.[1] In the same issue, RT Book Reviews listed Robinson in its “Favorite Authors / Favorite Sites” column.[2]

Robinson was a finalist for the Romance Writers of America Golden Heart Award in 1997.[3] She is a member of the International Thriller Writers (ITW).[4]

Writing career

Robinson began her career writing romantic suspense before expanding into contemporary romance, new adult romance, cozy mysteries, fantasy, and romantasy. In 2015 she launched Three Jays Press LLC, an independent imprint through which she self-publishes many of her later series.

Reception

The Spy Who Left Me received a positive review in Publishers Weekly.[5] The same title was also reviewed in Booklist.[6]

Other romantic-suspense titles attracted attention as well. Spy Candy was reviewed by Booklist in 2008.[7] Live and Let Love received a Booklist review in 2013.[8] Love Another Day was similarly covered in 2014.[9]

Affaire de Coeur gave The Spy Who Left Me a favorable assessment, calling it "light spy romance done well." [10]

In November 2011, the novel was selected as a Barnes & Noble Must Read pick by buyer Jules.[11]

Personal life

Robinson lives in Washington State. She is a former engineer who now writes full time. In her spare time, she enjoys coffee shops, independent bookstores, and family outings.
