Gina Storm-Jensen (born 20th December 1995) is an Norwegian-German ballet dancer and is a Soloist dancer at The Royal Ballet [1].

Early life

Gina Storm-Jensen was born in London to a Norwegian father and German mother, before moving to Oslo as a young child. Her Grandmother was Norwegian actor and singer Vigdis Røising. She has one older brother. Following an education at the Norwegian National Ballet School from 2003-2011, she was offered a job at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in 2011, aged 15. Deciding instead to pursue further training in the UK, Storm-Jensen joined the Royal Ballet School in 2011, on a full sponsorship. There, she won the Royal Ballet School Achievement Award in 2012 and the Director's Prize for Most Promising Student in 2013, before being offered a job at The Royal Ballet a year early, in October 2013 [2], alongside Reece Clarke.

Career

Gina Storm-Jensen joined the Royal Ballet's corps de ballet in September 2013 and was promoted to First Artist in August 2017 [3]. Her promotion to Soloist dancer took effect in September 2021[1]. Storm-Jensen's first principal role was Ruby Girl in Jewels (ballet), at age 21, and she has gone on to portray other lead roles such as Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty (ballet) in 2016, Monotones II Monotones (ballet) in 2021, Myrthe in Giselle in 2021, Empress in Mayerling (ballet) in 2022, and Godmother in Cinderella (Ashton) in 2023.

Personal Life

As of 2020, Storm-Jensen lives in Notting Hill, West London.
