Gilbert Academy was a secondary school in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was affiliated with Dillard University. It closed in 1949.
Margaret Davis Bowen led the school. Marjorie Lee Browne taught at the school. Joseph Henry Reason taught at the school.
T. LeRoy Davis was the school's music director. He taught Yvonne Busch.
The Louisiana Works Project Administration produced a description and history of the school in the 1930s.[1]
Thomas Dent (writer) graduated from Gilbert Academy in 1947.
