Gilakor is a small village of 2811 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gilakor depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gilakor is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gilakor's pin code is 342309[4], and village code is 01972600. The area of Gilakor is segregated as 93 hectares irrigated area, 2471 hectares unirrigated, the 123 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 124 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gilakor is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1944 and has total administration over 352 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
