Ghotiya is a small village of 103 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghotiya depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Ghotiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ghotiya's pin code is 327023[4], and village code is 03388800. The area of Ghotiya is segregated as 83.77 hectares irrigated area, 6.06 hectares unirrigated, remaining 12.95 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 114 male, 120 female with 134 (57.26%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 99 males and 35 females. 93 males and 31 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 100 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell ghee and make their living.
