Ghata is a small village of 413 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghata depends on BEAWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ghata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ghata's pin code is 313324[4], and village code is 02960600. The area of Ghata is segregated as 42 hectares irrigated area, 75 hectares unirrigated, the 158 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 125 hectare area not available for cultivation.
