Ghat Ka Barana is a small village of 901 hectares in Indragarh Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghat Ka Barana depends on LAKHERI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ghat Ka Barana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ghat Ka Barana's pin code is 323603[3], and village code is 02743200. The area of Ghat Ka Barana is segregated as 552 hectares irrigated area, 33 hectares unirrigated, the 234 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 82 hectare area not available for cultivation.
