Ghantiyali is a small village of 13261 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghantiyali depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Ghantiyali is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Ghantiyali's pin code is 345028[4], and village code is 02047000. The area of Ghantiyali is segregated as 506.55 hectares irrigated area, 137.57 hectares unirrigated, the 10324.89 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1637.27 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 198 male, 159 female with 272 (76.19%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 178 males and 94 females. 108 males and 77 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 85 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
