Ghanchida is a small village of 2500 hectares in Gudha Malani Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ghanchida depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Ghanchida is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Ghanchida's pin code is 344022[4], and village code is 02185600. The area of Ghanchida is segregated as 1305.01 hectares unirrigated, the 102 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1093.07 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell ghee and make their living.
