Gersar is a small village of 2037 hectares in Bikaner Tehsil in Bikaner district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gersar depends on BIKANER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gersar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Gersar's pin code is 334022[4], and village code is 00496500. The area of Gersar is segregated as 1960.84 hectares unirrigated, remaining 76.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bikaner to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
