Gerhard Klammer, born February 27, 1921, was a German national who moved to Argentina in 1949[1] after the second World War. He was instrumental in providing information that led to the capture of Adolf Eichmann in 1960.

Capture of Adolf Eichmann

A geologist by trade, Klammer had worked for the same construction company as escaped Nazi Adolf Eichmann, in Argentina. It was Klammer's efforts to alert German prosecutor Fritz Bauer of Eichmann's whereabouts that finally led to his capture and extradition by Mossad agents in 1960, a fact that was not revealed until 2021[2].
