George A Kirby (born on March 17, 1944) is a Martial Artist. A well known teacher and an Author. He Grew up in Burbank, CA. He was studying for his MA Degree at CSULA. In 1967, he Started giving training traditional Japanese Jujitsu.
Bibilography
George Kirby has been a great writer of books and articles in relation to Jujitsu and Self-Defence. Still, at the age of 75, he continues to teach the art in Santa Clarita, and he still writes books to help to develop a better Understanding of Jujitsu
Personal Life
Prof. George Kirby, Judan, age 75, is an internationally recognized martial arts instructor and author. He was the head instructor of the Burbank YMCA from 1968-75 and Burbank parks Dept from 1974-96. In 1994 he also was selected as defensive Tactics consultant at Los Angles police Dept. and countries to serve incapacity.
Achievements
Black belt magazine's 2007 Hall of Frame instructor of the Year Award.(Holds the rank of 10th-degree Black belt) He was Awarded the title of hanshi and Judan grade in 2000.
