His Publications

  • The Art of The Joke or ‘Adab Al-Nukta’: Researching The Roots of The Homsi Joke. The book looks into the roots of the joke and the reason behind: “Day of Insanity” or “Eid Al-Majaneen”, which is celebrated every Wednesday in Homs as a national tradition. It was concluded that “Day of Insanity” or “Eid Al-Majaneen” used to be one of the old sacred spring holidays in the ancient East, when Homs used to be the location for the Kaʿba. Although the holiday itself was preserved, it no longer has the religious meaning it used to have. In fact, its current purpose and meaning is completely different. This book is one of the first books in a whole study that focuses on “The History of The Joke”.[3]
  • The Library of Sex in The Life of Arabs or ‘Maktabat Al-Jins Fi Ḥayat Al-ʿArab’: An intellectual, cultural, historical, and social project, that was released as a series by Dar Al-Atlas, Beirut. Some of the books in the series is: The Art of Marriages in The Traditions of The Islamic Sheikh Jalaluddin Al-Suyuti or 'Fan Al-Nikkaḥ Fi Turath Shaykh Al-Islam: Jalalulddin Al-Suyuti'– A 3-volume book. ‘Saqifat Ḥubba’: A popular Arab woman who had a school or ‘Madrasa’ where the taught the art of love.[4]
